The Kuhmoinen countryside is best explored from the saddle. We rent out two full-suspension electric mountain bikes to our accommodation guests — perfect for rolling along forest trails and quiet village roads alike. The pedal assist evens out the hills and headwinds, so you’ll cover far more ground in a day than on a regular bike. The bikes are handed over fully charged and serviced, ready to ride.

The price includes the bike and a charger. Helmets are available to borrow free of charge.

We run boat safaris of varying lengths on Lake Päijänne — we take the helm, you enjoy the scenery.
The safaris are run on a well-equipped boat with a covered wheelhouse and comfortable seating. Our skipper knows Päijänne inside out and chooses the route to suit the weather and your wishes.
Departures are from Kuhmoinen harbour, just about 500 metres from Kivilinna. The short safari makes a great sightseeing trip or a way to round off the evening. Longer trips are tailored to your wishes — a half-day tour with an island stop and a picnic break, for example. Ask us for a quote on longer safaris; the price depends on the distance and duration.

Kuhmoinen and its surrounding areas offer year-round outdoor activities and sights. Isojärvi National Park, Kuhmoinen Hill Fort, and Lake Päijänne provide excellent opportunities for hiking, canoeing, fishing, and mountain biking. There are also great snowmobile trails. Sports and recreational activities range from padel courts to paintball games.
